Step 1 Cut three 24" pieces of 20 ga. wire.
Step 2 Tape ends together, (wires should be lying side by side).
Step 3 About 1½" from end make slight upward bend.
Step 4 Tape wire packet to work surface and begin to braid the wire. Continue until you have 2" of braiding.
Step 5 Slide Silver/Turquoise oval onto the right two wires.
Step 6 Braid another 2" and slide 2nd Silver/Turquoise oval onto wires.
Step 7 Repeat two more times. You should have a total of four Silver/Turquoise ovals.
Step 8 Remove project from work surface and remove tape. This end will become the hook closure for your necklace.
Step 9 Cut 10" piece of 24 ga. wire.
Step 10 About ¼" from end of the 24 ga., make a small hook by bending the wire 90°. Place the 24 ga. hook just below the last braid and begin to wrap three around wires. Continue to wrap for 1½". Trim 24 ga. wire. When done place a small dab of glue to secure ends of 24 ga. wire.
Step 11 Trim end of three wires to 1¼". Use Beadalon® chain nose pliers and bend ends over and press flat to the three wires.
Step 12 About ¼" from end, wrap three wrapped wires around the small side of the Beadalon® Bale Maker, forming a hook.
Step 13 On opposite end of wire, slide Turquoise Heart onto the middle wire (feed from top of heart).
Step 14 Braid another 2".
Step 15 Repeat this one more time and braid 2". You should have four (4) ovals on one side and two hearts on the other.
Step 16 Cut another 10" piece of 24 ga. wire and make small hook.
Step 17 Begin to wrap wires just below the braiding. Continue to wrap wire ½". DO NOT TRIM.
Step 18 Slightly bend three wires to right.
Step 19 Use small side of the Beadalon® Bale Maker and wrap the left wire around one full wrap (forming a ring). This will be the opposite side of your necklace closure.
Step 20 Using remaining 24 ga. to make two wraps around the ring to secure in place.
Step 21 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers to gently press down on these wraps to flatten.
Step 22 Slide the final heart onto the middle wire (feeding from the top of the heart).
Step 23 Braid 1".
Step 24 Using Beadalon® round nose pliers, make small loop at end of one wire.
Step 25 Using Beadalon® chain nose pliers, begin to roll the loop to make a swirl design. Continue to roll until you touch the braid.
Step 26 Repeat Steps 24 and 25 on all three wires, slightly overlapping each swirl.
