Cut a long section of 26 gauge wire.
Using a crochet hook and 28 gauge wire, make a slip knot about 3" from the end. Slide the crochet needle into the slip knot opening. On the other end of the wire, string the textured pearls and gently close off end so that the beads don’t fall off the wire. Wrap the long end of the wire over the crochet hook right below the hook. Bring the wire over the hook from the back to the front. Slide the hook through the slip knot, making sure each stitch stays on the hook to make one chain stitch. Continue to crochet three-four chain stitches. Slide a bead down the wire and wrap the bead into your stitch, capturing it in the chain stitch; you can pull the wire tight to the bead or leave loose depending on which look is preferred. Continue to make the chain as long or short as desired, or until the beads have all been captured into the chain. Leave an equal amount of chain stitches at the end of the chain as in the beginning of the chain.
Repeat step one two more times for a total of three crochet pearls chains. Weave/braid the three crochet beaded chains together and attached to the brushed silver chain. If needed, use small pieces of wire to secure the crochet sections to the chain at the center and sides.
To create the crystal petals, cut a section of 28 gauge wire approximately 1½” long. String three beads together. Bring the beads to the center of the wire. Go back through two of the beads with one end of the wire. Pull the wire so that the beads fit snuggly together into a triangle shape.
String three more beads onto one end of the wire. Thread the other end of the wire through the last three beads. Pull together so that they fit together tightly. Repeat again using four beads, then using five beads, then six beads. Continue to repeat but now decreasing the number of beads in reverse (five beads, four beads, three beads, two beads, then one). Wrap wire tightly at the base, but leave the twisted wire stem.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make two more crystals petals. Approximately 30 crystals are used per petal.
Cut pieces of wire approximately 6-8" in length, depending on the size of beads being used. String the beads in odd numbers (3, 5, 7) onto the wire. Pull together to create a circle with the beads. Twist the wire together to create a twisted stem. Repeat approximately 20 times with different size and colors of pearls.
Create the cluster to one side of the necklace by twisting the various stems together to create a petal or flower effect. Add in the crystal petals where desired. Attach using the wire steams as well as additional wire as needed to secure the cluster to the crochet chain.
Open two jump rings and attach to the open ends of the leather wrapped chains. Place clasp on one jump ring. Use pliers to closure securely. Place remaining jump ring on the other leather wrapped chain section and close securely with pliers. Attach clasp to jump ring to close the necklace. An extender chain can be added if desired to the jump ring opposite of the clasp for an adjustable necklace.
Open a jump ring with pliers and attach closure to the back of the necklace. Close securely.
