Project Instructions
Step: 1
Bake one larger (3 3/4-inch) and four smaller (2 1/2-inch) cookies; let cool. Position cookies on cooling grid placed over cookie sheet. Thin tinted royal icing to pouring consistency with water and cover cookies. Immediately sprinkle with coordinating sugars and let dry on cooling grid.
Step: 2
For antennae, attach licorice to heart candies with full-strength royal icing; set aside to dry. For feet, make holes in jelly beans with toothpick and insert licorice legs. Attach licorice to backs of cookies with full-strength royal icing. Pipe facial features with tip 3.
