Wilton® Roll Out Cookie Dough

Makes about three dozen cookies and can be doubled.

Material List

  • 1 Cup (2 sticks) Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 1½ Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1½ Teaspoons Wilton® Vanilla Extract
  • ½ Teaspoon Wilton® No-color Almond Extract
  • 2¾ Cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

Project Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In large bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and extracts; mix well.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to butter mixture one cup at a time, mixing after each addition. Do not chill dough.

Divide dough into two balls. On a floured surface, roll each ball into a circle approximately 12" wide and 1/8" thick.

Dip cookie cutter in flour before each use. Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheet six or seven minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.


Adult supervision is required at all times. Oven should only be used by and adult.
