Project Instructions

Gingerbread Boy with Green Hat

Roll a 1" green fondant ball; form into cone shape, and flatten one end to make it 1½" wide, tapering to curve at top. Attach with icing to cookie. Pipe icing dot on tip. Pipe zigzags on hat brim.

Pipe icing dot eyes and add green miniature candies for pupils. Pipe dot nose and outline mouth.

For buttons, roll ¼" ball of green fondant and flatten on cookie; attach a white candy in center of fondant with dot of icing.

For scarf, roll out and cut red fondant ½"x2" and fold in half, lengthwise, slightly and attach around neck. Cut second red fondant strip ½"x4½", add “V” trims at scarf ends and attach to cookie with icing.


Gingerbread Boy with Red Hat

Decorate cookie in the same way as boy with green hat except use red fondant for hat, green fondant for scarf; attach cut fringe on ends of scarf, ¼" deep.

Attach red colored candies for buttons.


For Easels on Both Cookies

Cut cardboard from box 3"x1½" at base.

Attach to cookies with icing.


Customize the decorating to resemble friends or family members.
