Project Instructions
Bake and cool 13 cupcakes to accommodate dessert stand.
Spatula ice elf and Santa cupcakes, mounding Copper decorator icing for face and head (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).
For elf, place mini chocolate chips for eyes; add a small piece of shoestring licorice for mouth.
Use white icing with dessert decorator fitted with star tip to pipe a ring for bottom base of hat on center of cupcake.
Use green icing with dessert decorator fitted with star tip to pipe a swirl for hat.
Use white icing with dessert decorator fitted with star tip to pipe star on top of hat.
Use Copper icing with dessert decorator fitted with round tip to pipe pull-out elf’s ear.
For Santa, use white icing with dessert decorator fitted with star tip to pipe ring for bottom base of hat.
Use mini chocolate chips for Santa’s eyes.
Use red icing with dessert decorator fitted with star tip to pipe swirl hat. Combine Christmas Red with Red-Red icing colors to get red icing color shown.
Use white icing with dessert decorator fitted with round tip to pipe swirl beard, outline moustache and hair.
Use red icing with dessert decorator fitted with star tip to pipe swirl hat.
Use white icing with dessert decorator fitted with round tip to pipe dot on top.
For green cupcake, use green icing with dessert decorator fitted with star tip to pipe swirl on top of cupcake. Sprinkle with Christmas nonpareils.
Place cupcakes on dessert stand.
