Wilton® Seasonal Swirls Gingerbread House
- Wilton® Unassembled Gingerbread Cottage
- Wilton® Rolling Pin
- Wilton® Small Angled Spatula (or Butter Knife)
- Scissors (or Paring Knife)
- Confectioners’ Sugar
- Granulated Sugar
Assemble cottage according to included instructions.
Outline front door and fill in with zigzags (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).
Outline door frame and attach miniature flavored candies. Roll out purple sugared gumdrop flat on surface covered with granulated sugar. Cut into circle shape with scissors and attach for door window with dots of icing. Cut a red sugared gumdrop in thirds, horizontally, and attach one piece for doorknob with dots of icing.
Outline windows on front, sides and back of cottage and fill in with zigzags (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch). Roll out miniature sugared gumdrops and cut into the shapes of curtains with scissors. Attach to all windows with icing. On front and back windows decorate bead fleur de lis on top, c-scrolls on sides and icicles on windowsills. For side windows omit the bead fleur de lis on top.
Decorate straight lines under eaves and zigzag lines on house corners. Attach miniature candies on house corners.
Ice roof smooth. Decorate roof with swirls. Decorate a line of icing on roof peak and attach candies.
Decorate icicles on eaves and peak. Attach sugared gumdrops cut in half horizontally to front and back eaves.
Ice base fluffy, leaving room for front doorway path.
