Project Instructions

Step: 1

Cut two 12-inch x 2-inch strips of light blue patterned cardstock. Adhere around tin 7/8-inches from the bottom using spray adhesive. Cut two 12-inch x 1-inch strips of light brown cardstock. Adhere around top of tin using spray adhesive, overlapping light blue patterned strips. Cut two 12-inch x 1-inch strips of dark brown cardstock. Adhere around bottom of tin using spray adhesive, overlapping light blue patterned strips.


Step: 2

Cut one 7-inch x 3½-inch block of dark brown cardstock. Cut one 6¾-inch x 3¼-inch block of light brown cardstock. Layer together. Adhere to inside of lid using mounting squares.


Step: 3

Cut one 3-inch x 3-inch block of dark brown cardstock. Cut one 2¾-inch x 2¾-inch block of light blue patterned cardstock. Layer with printed invitation. Adhere to inside of lid as shown using mounting squares.


Step: 4

Cut snowflake. Using Home Accents cartridge and dark brown cardstock, cut one 2½-inch <Flower6>. Using light blue patterned cardstock, press Shift and cut one 2½-inch <Flwer6-s>. Layer together. Adhere to inside of lid as shown using mounting squares.


Step: 5

Cut one 6¾-inch x 3¼-inch block of light brown cardstock. Adhere to top of tin, cutting spaces so cardstock will fit around handle.


Step: 6

Cut borders. Using Joys of the Season cartridge and dark brown cardstock, cut four 1-inch <SwrlBrdr>. Adhere two to front of tin as shown, using spray adhesive. Repeat on back of tin.


Step: 7

Cut snowflake. Using dark brown cardstock, cut one 2-inch <Flake1>. Repeat cut using light blue patterned cardstock and Layers feature. Layer together.


Step: 8

Tie wide ribbon around top of tin as shown, ensuring that snowflake is tied into the final bow. Use adhesive to help secure ribbon to tin if desired.


Step: 9

Cut snowflakes. Using Home Accents cartridge and light brown cardstock, press Shift and cut two 2½-inch <Flwer8-s>. Using dark brown cardstock, press Shift and cut three 2½-inch <Flwer8-s>. Using dark brown cardstock, select Shadow feature, press Shift, and cut one 2¾-inch <Flwer8-s>. Using light blue patterned cardstock, select Shadow feature, press Shift and cut one 2½-inch <Flwer8-s>. Layer dark brown shadow, light blue patterned shadow, and one dark brown snowflake. Cut 3-inches of wide ribbon. Adhere layered snowflake to ribbon. Use glue gun to adhere ribbon to base of right side of handle. Use spray adhesive to adhere one light brown and one dark brown snowflake to short sides of tin as shown.


Step: 10

Cut snowflake. Using light brown cardstock, press Shift and cut one 1½-inch <Flwer8-s>. Repeat cut using light blue patterned cardstock and Shadow feature. Using dark brown cardstock, select Shadow feature, press Shift, and cut one 1¾-inch <Flwer8-s>. Layer and adhere to lower left corner of lid.


Step: 11

Cut two equal strips of narrow brown ribbon. Use glue gun to adhere ribbon ends to lid and inside tin as shown.
