- Celebrate It® Jute Ribbon – Green

Project Instructions
Step 1 Paint the body of the wooden birdhouse with two coats of red acrylic paint, drying between coats. Step 2 Cut circles with a 1" circle punch. Cut enough to cover the entire roof. Step 3 Coat one side of the roof with Mod Podge®. Starting at the bottom of the roof, layer the circles in rows. Coat with more Mod Podge® as needed. Overlap the circles and edges of the roof. Continue until you get to the top. Trim the topmost layer. Repeat on the other side of the roof. Let dry. Step 4 Paint the trim of the birdhouse with brown acrylic paint. Let dry. Step 5 Paint the perch with green acrylic paint. Let dry. Step 6 Antique the birdhouse by brushing on and wiping off very diluted brown acrylic paint. Let dry. Step 7 Finish by tying a bow, using the green jute, to the base of the hanging loop.
Tips
Blow dry wet paint to shorten drying time.
