Wooden Spool Photo Banner

When adhering your wire springs into the spools, make sure to stick the straight end into the spool before the hot glue is applied so that you can trim any excess wire or add more curls as needed.

Project Instructions

Take out three wooden spools. Select three coordinating prints and cut a strip to wrap around each spool, trimming the ends with pinking shears. Adhere in place.

Take your craft wire and wrap it around a pencil, creating a twisted section that is approximately 2" tall, all while leaving a couple inches of excess on both sides. Remove the wire from the pencil and use your pliers to bend one end in a double loop (shape of a paperclip). Adhere the other end of the wire into the spool using hot glue. Repeat for the remaining two spools.

Find the page with the pennants; cut out eight. Punch two holes (one in each) of the top corners on each pennant. Link the pennants through the chain and loop your new banner through the wires on each spool.

Take your photos and mat them on three separate prints. Cut each one out, leaving a small border around the photo, and trimming the corners with the corner rounder. Insert one photo into each of the top sections of your spools.

Embellish the display by adding mini banners, stickers, rhinestones, or other desired elements.
