Project Instructions

To create flowers, punch a total of 15 scallop circles, 5 from each of three different sheets from the kit.

Using the hole punch, punch a hole in the center of each of the 15 circles and hold the five from each sheet and connect together with a brad.

Using a spray bottle and water, lightly wet each layer of each flower.

Starting with top layer, hand scrunch each layer very tightly and let dry.

When dry, spread out to create the size of flower you prefer. (On this project we spread out one flower to be larger than the other two).

Mix purple paint with water, add to spray bottle and spray paint flower to the consistency of color that you like; set aside to dry. Repeat this same process with the additional two flowers.

Using a different pattered paper from kit, hand draw a leaf, coordinating appropriate size to your flowers.

Mix green paint and water in a spray bottle, spray paint each leaf and let dry. Using black sharpie, draw line down the center of each leaf. (As an option and to create more texture, you could use a sewing machine and black thread and stitch the center of each leaf.)

To create the corsage, hot glue small and large flower together side-to-side.

Hot glue leaves and feathers to bottom of flowers, two leaves on one side and one leaf on the other.

Glue ribbon under leaves and then glue a small circle atop bottom of flowers, leaves and ribbon for clean finish underneath corsage.

Lastly, randomly add clear rhinestones to the flower petals.

Repeat process for boutineer except to use a felt circle underneath and a pin to attach to lapel when used.

Do not add rhinestones to flowers, instead add three black rhinestones to each leaf.

Craft Notes

Step out of the box when using a page kit and take advantage of the coordinated items in the kit to create projects other than scrapbook pages. This project is a perfect example!
