Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not use for 3D objects. I tried to use this to cover a beer bottle, so I could make sugar beer bottles for a cake. The product kept sliding off the bottle and became unusable in less that 5 minutes. $30.00 wasted, now I have to find something else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, just a bit expensive (+tips) I loved using the mold putty. Due to the amount of product you get in The pacakage I do wish the prices was a little cheaper. I do recommend buying the product with a 30% or 40% off regular priced item coupon it will all be worth the wait !! Tips : - a little does do a long way when molding small items, bust make cute that the putty is thick enough that it doesn't poke though the base of the mold . - press the putty onto the mold, not the mold into the putty. This will ensure that you item does not poke holds into the base of the mold, lease the mold with a clean rim , and less imperfections. (You can use you fingers to smooth out the base, so the mold doesn't fall over ) -keep in mind that the putty does take on the finishes and textures of the item being molded. Ex. Molding a wooden charm that does not have a gloss finish will produce a Matt mold. -THIS PUTTY MIGHT NOT WORK FOR SUPER DETAILED MOLDS OF 3-D Items ! Ex. Might not work for making a mold of a 3d miniature teacup , or toy dinsour unless you are only molding half of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for molding. It's my first time using this product, I use it to make molds of clay figures. It doesn't capture all details of complex figures, but it's good for molding a basic shape. It is easy to use, but you have to work very quickly before the putty starts to set. Good product if you need to produce a bunch of identical pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mold making product This is my 5th purchase of this product. Obviously I like it. It is easy to use and cures fast. I have not been able to find this product at any of the other brick and mortar craft or hobby stores. It's great value if you use a coupon!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless on difficult pieces. I made a molds of a small toy tire. It tore after the second use. Made a new one thinking it was me. But the second one tore also. Don't waste your time. EasyMold Silicone Putty is much better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, easy to use I love to use this putty for creating polymer clay baking molds. This 2-part putty is very easy to mix together...it's like working with very soft clay. Once the clay-like material is mixed, it's best to work relatively quickly to place the mold shapes into it, before setting begins. The finished mold is both flexible and durable for repeated use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mold Making This a great "in-between" mold making compound. I use several different types of mold making compounds to create different types of molds. It doesn't dry as hard as an rtd and it's not as soft as EasyMold silicone putty. I've found with this particular mold that I can still make two part molds for pmc rings bracelets pendants and earrings. For extremely intricate detail work I still use products like the easy mold silicone putty because it gets into every nook and cranny. However this mold compound is very resilient and does not tear easy when using different types of precious metal Clays. I've also found that I do not need to always condition it for easy release like an rtd molding compound. So i hope that it'll always be around because this is one I plan to keep on hand in my jewelry studio forever. Just remember every molding compound has its pluses and minuses. They are used for different things too. This one does exactly what it was designed to do. I've never gotten a "bad" batch. It's always been consistently good. A great tool for any working artist.
