Project Instructions

Step 1 Using patterned paper, layer multiple sheets together with the pattern aligning so that you create one oversized “piece” that is as large as the deer head. Glue sheets together accordingly.

Step 2 Place deer head on top of the paper and trace with a pencil to establish a cutting line. Make sure to center the head to get the desired pattern placement.

Step 3 Cut out paper.

Step 4 Using pliers, pull the metal adornment out of the wood so that surface is flat and smooth. This adornment has tiny nails – please keep these, as you will need them.

Step 5 Use paintbrush to apply a thin layer of glue to the front of the wooden deer head.

Step 6 Carefully lay the paper cutout onto the glue layer and smooth out any creases, starting from the center and moving out towards the edges. Allow to dry.

Step 7 Once completely dry, reapply the metal adornment. To do so, apply glue to the tips of the small nails, and push them back into the existing nail holes.

Have enough patterned paper to align the pattern properly.
