Scents & Dyes Choosing liquid vs. block dye is a matter of personal preference, they both produce excellent results in wax and gel wax. For choosing your scent (liquid vs. block) follow these simple guidelines. For lightly scented candles, use the Block or for a more heavily scented candle, use the liquid. Keep in mind, do not use block scent in gel wax as it will cause it to be cloudy.
