  • Beads, oval, ½-¾-inch, 18
  • Beads, round, 14mm, 2

  • Chenille stem, green
  • Clay pots, 1¼-inch, 2
  • Clay saucer, 3¼-inch, 2
  • Craft glue, thick
  • Paintbrush, flat, No. 12
  • Water container

  • Paint as follows: bottom of one saucer Daisy Cream and rim Sprout Green, second saucer Fern Green, small pots Tiger Lily Orange, large beads Tango Blue, oval beads Fern Green, and round beads Daisy Cream.

 
  • Lightly brush rim of Fern Green saucer with Sprout Green.

 
  • String 6 oval beads on three 9-inch pieces of chenille stems. Position 3 beads on each side bending end of stems to lock beads in place. String 3 round blue beads on each side of a chenille stem. Pull ends of stem through the orange terra cotta pots to form claws bending ends. Secure stem ends with a dab of hot glue.

 
  • Position centers of chenille stems across Daisy Cream saucer rim. Refer to photo for placement. Place a bead of thick craft glue or hot glue around rim. Place second saucer on top and press down. (If craft glue is used weight saucer down with a book or heavy object until dry.)

 
  • Glue small beads to ends of a 4-inch piece of chenille stem. Bend chenille in a U-shape and glue to center of saucer front for eyes.

 
  • Lightly brush tops of “fins” with Sprout Green.

Use photo as a guide when painting and assembling project.

Use paintbrush appropriate for size of area being painted. Use liner brush for narrow areas and detail work.
