Basecoat 8-inch pot and 10-inch saucer with Natural Tan Grout. Use rake or fan brush to drag Woodland Brown horizontally around pot and saucer. Let dry. Basecoat channel bars with Woodland Brown and set aside to dry. Use marker to roughly sketch lines around pot and saucer about ¾-inch apart. Draw vertical lines randomly to make boards. Dot nails at ends of boards with Black.

Use pencil and ruler to lightly draw six rectangles around pot for windows, as shown. Paint windows with Wrought Iron Black. Use pencil to lightly draw waves around bottom of saucer, as shown. Paint waves with Deep Waterfall Blue. Dab top of each wave with Cloud White. Let dry.

Glue pot upside down inside saucer as shown. Glue channel bars together to form ramp and then glue to ark as shown.

Paint and assemble animals and Noah as follows:
|
|
|
-
Lion: Paint one large circle (for head), one medium circle (for snout), and two points of one small star (for ears) Pinecone Brown. Break the two painted points off star. Dot eyes, nose, and use liner to paint mouth Wrought Iron Black. Highlight eyes with Cloud White. Glue leather fringe around back of head for mane. Glue ears on top of head and snout centered on lower half of head. Glue lion to one window, as shown.

Pigs: Cut out four shapes from craft foam for ears. Paint two large wood circles (for heads), two medium circles (for snouts), four small circles (for feet), and foam ears Carnation Pink; let dry. Paint a small triangle on each small circle Wrought Iron Black for hooves.

Dot eyes on large circles Cloud White and Wrought Iron Black and to dot nostrils on medium circles Wrought Iron Black. Glue pigs on one window, as shown, with heads near bottom of window, snouts centered on heads, ears above heads, and hooves below heads.

Horses: Cut out four tear shapes from craft foam for ears. Paint two large ovals (for horse heads) and ears Cloud White. Add Woodland Brown spots and hair to heads. Dot eyes and paint nostrils Wrought Iron Black. Highlight eyes Cloud White. Glue on one window to form horses, as shown.

Walruses: Paint two large circles (for heads) and two medium ovals (for snouts) Deep Waterfall Blue. Paint two toothpicks White for tusks. Dot noses on ovals Carnation Pink. Dot eyes on circles Cloud White and Wrought Iron Black. Use liner to paint mouths Cloud White.

Glue an oval horizontally to lower part of each circle to form head and snout. Break toothpicks in half and glue two halves to each snout for tusks. Glue walruses to one window, as shown.

Giraffes: Cut out two tear shapes from craft foam for ears. Paint two large ovals (for heads), one large craft stick (for necks), and ears with Tiger Lily Orange. Paint two toothpicks and four 8mm round beads (for knobbed horns) Fiesta Yellow. Paint spots on necks Pinecone Brown. Dot eyes and use liner to paint mouths Wrought Iron Black.

Cut craft stick in half and glue an oval horizontally to the end of each half for heads and necks. Glue an ear to each head. Break toothpicks in half and glue two to the top of each head. Glue a yellow bead to the end of each toothpick. Glue giraffes to one window facing opposite directions, as shown.

Elephants: Paint one large circle (for head), two large hearts (for ears), one medium oval (for trunk), and one small heart (for tip of trunk) Natural Grey Grout. While wet, lightly brush inside large hearts Carnation Pink.

|

Dot eyes and use liner to paint mouth Wrought Iron Black. Add dots of Cloud White to eyes. Glue points of large hearts to back of circle for head and ears. Glue oval to bottom half on front of circle for trunk. Glue point of small heart to bottom of trunk. Glue elephant to one window, as shown.

Noah: Mix Daisy Cream and Terra Cotta 5:1 (or mix as desired for darker or lighter flesh) and paint doll head bead (for head), button (for nose) and two 10mm beads (for hands). Paint 3-inch clay pot with Deep Waterfall Blue for body. Twist two brown chenille stems together to form arms. Glue a 10mm head to ends for hands. Glue head to bottom of pot, arms to sides, and button nose onto head. Let dry.

Cut 5-inch x ¾-inch strips of Rigid Wrap. Follow package instructions to apply strips around arms to form sleeves. Let dry. Paint sleeves Deep Waterfall Blue. Cut jute into 11/2-inch pieces and glue to face under nose for beard and mustache. Dot eyes with Wrought Iron Black and highlight with Cloud White. Twist two brown chenille stems together to form a staff and glue to hand. Blush cheeks and nose with Terra Cotta.

Camel: Glue two 11/2-inch clay pots together, rim to rim for body. Twist two brown chenille stems together at one end and thread through pot holes, leaving about 11/2-inch at one end. Loop long end back to the hole to form a neck. Place glue on egg halves and sandwich chenille stem loop between them for head. (Other end of chenille stems will be tail.)

Position and glue four 10mm round beads on body where legs will be placed; let dry. Cut dowel into four 3-inch pieces for legs. Thread a 10mm round bead centered on each leg and at one end of each leg and glue in place. Insert and glue legs into each bead on body.

Glue apple to back for hump. Cut Rigid Wrap into strips. Remove rubber band from head. Position neck and begin dipping Rigid Wrap strips in water and applying over camel body. Cover all areas and smooth out. Let dry.
|

Cut two tear shapes from yellow craft foam for ears and glue in place on head. Paint camel with a 3:2:2 mix of Fiesta Yellow, Pinecone Brown, and Daisy Cream. Paint bucket Wrought Iron Black and dry brush with Pinecone Brown. Cut a piece of jute long enough to hang bucket around camel's neck. Glue ends of jute to bucket, hanging it around neck.

Use liner to paint eyes Wrought Iron Black. Highlight eyes with Cloud White. Shade ears with Pinecone Brown. Glue a small tuft of doll hair to top of head and end of tail.

For Each Monkey: Paint two 1½-inch clay pots (for body), 1½-inch doll head bead (for head), and split apple (for muzzle) Pinecone Brown. Let dry.
|

|

Bend one brown chenille stem in half and glue bent end inside one clay pot so ends of chenille stem hang out of pot for legs. Glue end of another brown chenille stem inside same clay pot on opposite side for tail. Glue rims of pots together, making sure legs and tail extend out between glued pots.

Position another brown chenille stem on top of clay pot body and glue doll head bead to body with chenille stem sandwiched in between, as shown. Glue split apple onto head for muzzle.

|

Cut small round ears from craft foam, and then paint with Pinecone Brown. Let dry. Glue ears to sides of head, as shown. Dot eyes with Cloud White and Wrought Iron Black. Use liner to paint mouth and nose with Wrought Iron Black. Bend and shape legs, arms, and tail as desired.

Dove: Paint one 1½-inch clay pot (for body), 1¼-inch doll head bead (for head) and Woodsie Tears (for wings) with Cloud White. Let dry. Glue head and wings onto body, as shown. Cut a V-shape beak from craft foam. Glue onto face.

Dot eyes with Wrought Iron Black. Highlight with Cloud White. Glue feather to top of head.

| Tip: Use photo as a guide and follow manufacturer's instructions for all products used. To basecoat, use paintbrush to apply a total opaque (solid) coverage to desired surface. To make dots with paint, use tip of paintbrush handle. Use paintbrush appropriate for size of area being painted. Let paint dry between coats and before adding any details or highlights. Wash paintbrushes following manufacturer's instructions before changing paint colors. |
