  • MODA DEA™ Wild (Art. R121), No. 9977 Spring, 4 (6, 8) balls
  • Knitting Needles, 6mm (US 10)
  • Crochet Hook, 5.5mm (US I-9)

  • Back: Cast on 66 (70, 74) sts. Work in St st, beg K row, until 6 (6 1/2, 7) inches from beg, end P row.
 
  • Shape Armholes: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows-58 (62, 66) sts. Dec 1 st each end of every row 4 times-50 (54, 58) sts. Work even until armhole measures 8 (8 1/2, 9) inches, end P row.
 
  • Shape Shoulders: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows-42 (46, 50) sts. Bind off 4 (5, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows-34 (36, 40) sts. Bind off 5 (5, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows-24 (26, 28) sts. Bind off.
 
  • Left Front: Cast on 12 (14, 16) sts.
 
  • Row 1 (Right Side): Knit.
 
  • Row 2: Cast on 2 sts, P to end-14 (16, 18) sts. Rep the last 2 rows 6 more times-26 (28, 30) sts. Now inc 1 st at end (center front edge) of every K row 4 times-30 (32, 34) sts. Work even until side (straight) edge measures 6 (6 1/2, 7) inches, end P row. Mark first st at center front edge of last row.
 
  • Shape Armhole and Front Slope: Bind off 4 sts at beg and dec 1 st at end of next row-25 (27, 29) sts. Work 1 row even. Dec 1 st at armhole edge on next 4 rows AND AT THE SAME TIME dec 1 st at neck edge every 4th row from previous dec 8 (9, 10) more times-13 (14, 15) sts. Work even until armhole measures same as back to shoulder, end P row.
 
  • Shape Shoulder: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next row-9 (10, 11) sts. P 1 row. Bind off 4 (5, 5) sts at beg of next row-5 (5, 6) sts. P 1 row. Bind off.
 
  • RIGHT FRONT: Cast on 12 (14, 16) sts.
 
  • Row 1 (Right Side): Knit.
 
  • Row 2: Purl.
 
  • Row 3: Cast on 2 sts, K to end-14 (16, 18) sts. Rep the last 2 rows 6 more times-26 (28, 30) sts. Now inc 1 st at beg of every K row 4 times-30 (32, 34) sts. Work even until side edge measures 6 (6 1/2, 7) inches, end P row. Mark last st at center front edge of last row.
 
  • Shape Armhole and Front Slope: Dec 1 st at beg of next row. Bind off 4 sts at beg of next row. Dec 1 st at armhole edge on next 4 rows AND AT THE SAME TIME dec 1 st at neck edge every 4th row from previous dec 8 (9, 10) more time-13 (14, 15) sts. Work even until armhole measures same as back to shoulder, end K row.
 
  • Shape Shoulder: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next row-9 (10, 11) sts. K 1 row. Bind off 4 (5, 5) sts at beg of next row-5 (5, 6) sts. K 1 row. Bind off.
 
  • Sleeves (Make 2): Cast on 40 (42, 44) sts. Work in St st, beg K row, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of every 3rd row 8 (9, 9) times-56 (60, 62) sts. Work even until 5 1/2 (6, 6 1/2) inches from beg, end P row.
 
  • Shape Cap: Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows--48 (52, 54) sts. Dec 1 st each end of every row 4 times-40 (44, 46) sts. Dec 1 st each end of every K row 10 (11, 11) times-20 (22, 24) sts. Bind off.
 
  • Finishing: Sew side and shoulder seams. Sew sleeve seams; set in sleeves.

 
  • Body Edging-Rnd 1: With right side facing and crochet hook, join yarn at a side seam; ch 1, work sc evenly around entire edge taking care to keep work flat; join with a sl st to first sc.
 
  • Rnd 2: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in each sc around (Note: increase or decrease as necessary around shaped edges to keep work flat.); join with a sl st in top of ch-3.
 
  • Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in each dc around (see note above); join. Fasten off.
 
  • Sleeve Edging-Rnds 1-3: Work same as Body Edging.
 
  • Ties: With right side facing and crochet hook, attach yarn at front marker; ch 31, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, sl st in same place as joining. Fasten off. Rep on opposite front.

Size: Directions are for Size Small. Changes for Sizes Medium and Large are in parentheses. To Fit Bust: 32 (35, 38) inches. Finished Bust Measurement: 35 (37, 39 1/2) inches.

Gauge: 15 sts = 4-inches; 20 rows = 4-inches in St st. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.
