     BACK & FRONT (make alike)
Body: Ch 43.

 
     Row 1: (RS). 1 tr in 11th ch from hook (counts as 1 tr, 3 ch and 1 tr). (Ch 3. Miss next 3 ch. 1 tr in next ch) 3 times. (Ch 3. Miss next 3 ch. 1 dc in next ch) 5 times. Turn.

 
     Row 2: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. Ch 3. (Miss next 3 ch. 1 sc in next st. Ch 3) 8 times. Miss next 3 ch. 1 sc in next ch. Turn.

 
     Row 3: Ch 7 (counts as tr and ch 3). (1 tr in next sc. Ch 3. Miss next 3 ch) 4 times. (1 dc in next sc. Ch 3. Miss next 3 ch) 4 times. 1 dc in last sc. Turn. Rep last 2 rows 12 [14-16-17-21-24] times more. Do not turn at end of last row.

 
     Bodice: Turn work sideways and proceed as follows:

 
     Row 1: (RS). Ch 3 (counts as dc). *2 dc around post of next dc. Ch 1. Rep from * to last dc. 2 dc around post of last dc. 1 dc in first ch of foundation ch. Turn. 43 [49-55-58-70-79] sts.

 
     Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in each dc and ch-1 sp across. Turn.

 
     Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc). *1 dc in each of next 2 dc. Ch 1. Miss next dc.

 
     Rep from * to last 3 dc. 1 dc in each of last 3 dc. Turn.

 
     Row 4: As 2nd row.

 
     Row 5: Ch 1. 1 sc in each dc across. Turn.

 
     Row 6: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in each sc across.

     Shape Armholes
Row 1: (RS). Miss first 4 [4-5-6-10-13] dc. Join yarn with sl st to next dc. Ch 1. Draw up a loop in each of first 2 sts. Yoh and draw through all 3 loops on hook – Sc2tog made. 1 sc in each dc to last 6 [6-7-8-12-15] dc. Sc2tog over next 2 dc. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. 33 [39-43-44-48-51] sts.

 
     Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc). (Yoh and draw up a loop in next st) twice. Yoh and draw through all 3 loops on hook – Dc2tog made. 1 dc in each st to last 3 sts. Dc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 dc in last st. Turn.

 
     Row 3: Ch 1. Sc2tog over first 2 sts. 1 sc in each st to last 2 sts. Sc2tog over last 2 sts. Turn.

 
     Sizes M, L, XL, 2/3XL and 4/5XL only: Rep last 2 rows [1-1-1-2-2] time(s) more. [33-37-38-40-43] sts.

     Shape Neck
Row 1: (RS). Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 7 [7-8-9-10-11] dc. Sc2tog over next 2 sts. Turn (neck edge). Leave rem sts unworked.

 
     Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Dc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 dc in each sc to end of row.

 
     Row 3: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to last 2 sts. Sc2tog over last 2 sts. Turn.

 
     Row 4: As 2nd row. 5 [5-6-7-8-9] sts.

 
     Cont even in pat until armhole measures 7½-inches [8-8½-8½-8½-9] or 19cm [20.5-21.5-21.5-21.5-23]. Fasten off.

 
     With RS of work facing, miss center 11 [15-17-16-16-17] sts. Join yarn with sl st to next st. Ch 1. Sc2tog over this st and next st. 1 sc in each st to end of row.

 
     Turn. 8 [8-9-10-11-12] sts.

 
     Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in each st to last 3 sts. Dc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 dc in last st. Turn.

     Finishing
Pin garment pieces to measurements. Cover with a damp cloth, leaving cloth to dry.

 
     Neck Edging: Sew shoulder seams.

 
     With RS of work facing, join yarn with sl st at left shoulder seam. Ch 1. Work 1 rnd of sc evenly around neck edge. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

 
     Armhole Edging: Sew side seams.

 
     With RS of work facing, Join yarn with sl st at side seam. Ch 1. Work 1 rnd of sc evenly around armhole edge. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
