In Solomon's Knot pattern (as established), using US I-9 (5.5mm) hook, 5½ sts and 8 rows = 4-inches-inches/10cm

     trCl: Treble cluster – [Yarn over] twice, insert hook in indicated st and draw up a loop, [yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice (2 loops on hook); [Yarn over] twice, insert hook in same st and draw up a loop, [yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice (3 loops on hook); yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

 
     SK: Solomon's Knot (also known as Lover's Knot) – Ch 1, extend loop on hook to about 1/3-inches/10mm long; yarn over and draw through the extended loop (extended ch-1 made); hold the extended ch-1 to separate the back bar from the top 2 loops of the ch; insert the hook under the back bar; yarn over and draw up a loop; yarn over and draw through both loops on hook. Note: Solomon's Knot is an extended chain, followed by a single crochet worked in the back bar of the extended chain.

     Round 1: Sc in same st as last dc worked, place marker, 2 sc in end of each row along short edge of Shawl (60 sc), sc in end of last SK on foundation row, place marker; work 252 sc evenly spaced along opposite side of foundation row (this can be accomplished by working 3 sc over each SK); sc in same st as last sc worked, place marker, 2 sc in end of each row along opposite short edge of Shawl (60 sc), sc in second ch of beginning ch-2 of Row 30, place marker; work 252 sc evenly spaced across Row 30; join with slip st in first sc—628 sc. Fasten off. Join A in first sc.

Using yarn needle, weave in ends. If desired, steam lightly.

Tip:

This would make a beautiful bridal wrap done in solid white.
