     Rnd 2: Ch 3, 3 dc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, *slip st in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, dc in next st, 3 dc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next 3 sts; repeat from * 7 more times, slip st in next st, hdc in next 3 sts; join with slip st in top of beginning ch—9 slip sts, 54 hdc, and 45 dc. Fasten off C.

     With sewing needle and thread, stitch button to left front in center of fan at Row 23.

Tip: Try making the jacket in gradient shades of Ocean Spray, Spruce and Peacock and a shawl pin closure instead of a button for a totally different look.
