3rd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as sl st. *Ch 3. Miss next 2 dc. 1 sc in next dc. Rep from * around, ending with Ch 3. Miss last 2 dc. Join.

4th rnd: Ch 1. *[1 sc. 3 dc. (Ch 3. Sl st in top of last dc) 3 times – Cluster made. 2 dc. 1 sc] all in next ch-3 sp. Rep from * around. Join.

5th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as sl st. *Ch 5. 1 sc in center ch-3 sp of next Cluster. Ch 5.** 1 sc between next 2 sc. Rep from *, ending with **. Join.

6th rnd: Ch 1. (6 sc in next ch-5 sp) 16 times. Join.

7th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first 4 sc, joining A in last sc. With A, (Yoh and draw up a loop. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) 5 times in next sc. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook – Bobble made. With MC, 1 sc in next 5 sc, joining B in last sc. With B, Bobble in next sc. With MC, 1 sc in next 5 sc, joining C in last sc. 8th to 14th rows: As 2nd row.

15th row: As 5th row, substituting A for B, B for C and C for A.

16th to 22nd rows: As 2nd row.

23rd row: As 7th row, substituting A for C, B for A and C for B.

24th to 28th rows: As 2nd row. Fasten off.

Afghan: Sew 8 Motifs into 7 Strips alternating Motif I and II.

Edging: With RS of work facing, join MC with sl st to any corner ch-3 sp. Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as sl st. Work 1 rnd of sc evenly around entire Afghan, having 3 sc in corners. Join.

2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc evenly around, having 3 sc in each corner sc. Join.

3rd rnd: With MC, ch 1. *1 sc in next 7 sc, joining A in last sc. With A, Bobble in next sc. 1 sc in next 7 sc, joining B in last sc. With B, Bobble in next sc. 1 sc in next 7 sc, joining C in last sc. With C, Bobble in next sc. Rep from * around. Join. Fasten off.

Tip: When changing colors, work to last 2 loops on hook of the first color. Draw new color through the last 2 loops and proceed.
