In advance, make candy triangles using Dessert Accent Candy Mold. Use melted candy in cut parchment triangle to fill molds; refrigerate to set and unmold. Eight are needed for each cupcake. One bag of candy will yield 5 to 6 sets of 8.
Make candy tree by attaching 4 triangles together with melted candy; let set. Add remaining 4 triangles between the first 4, attaching with melted candy; let set.
Bake and cool cupcakes. Ice tops smooth with buttercream icing using spatula. Position tree on top. Cut spice drop in half. Position on top of tree and attach with candy.
