Project Instructions

Step 1 Cut two pieces of suede cording to approximately 16" each.

Step 2 Cut braided leather to approximately 18".

Step 3 Cut chain to 16".

Step 4 Take the two pieces of suede cording and line them up evenly. Find the center and tie a knot on each side of the center point. Each knot should be 1" from the center point and 2" from each other.

Step 5 Make 2 more knots on each side, 2" apart.

Step 6 Line up the center of the braided leather cording and the knotted leather cording. Tie a knot with all cordings at each end of the knotted cording. Add a large copper jump ring to the inside of each knot before tightening. The braided leather cording should have ends further than the knot. Trim the suede leather ends as close to knot as possible and add E-6000® adhesive to secure. Let dry.

Step 7 Add the copper chain to the jump rings at each end of the chain. There should now be 3 strands to the majority of the necklace, with just the braided cording going around the neck.

Step 8 In the center section of the suede cording between the knots, add a mixture of copper and silver large jump rings.

Step 9 Open the jump ring from the tree pendant and attach to center of the braided leather cording and close jump ring.

Step 10 Add the bead caps to each end of the braided leather cording. Secure with E-6000®.

Step 11 Add clasp.
