Sizes

To fit chest: 17 (18-19)” [43 (45.5-48)cm]
Finished chest: 21 (23-24)” [53.5 (58.5-61)cm]
Gauge
11 sts and 16 rows = 4" (10cm) in stocking st.
Back
**Cast on 27 (31-34) sts. Knit 3 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS and inc 1 st at center of last row.
28 (32-36) sts.
Proceed in stocking st for 6½ (7-7½)" [16.5 (18-
19) cm] total length, ending with a purl row.
Shape armholes
Cast off 3 sts beg next 2 rows.
22 (26-30) sts.**
Cont even for 4¾ (5¼-6)" [12 (13-15) cm] from cast off edge, ending with a purl row. Cast off.
Front
Work from ** to ** as given for Back.
Cont even for 1 (1½-2)" [2.5 (4-5) cm] from cast off edge, ending with a purl row.
Divide Front: Next row: (RS). K11 (13-15). Turn. Leave rem sts on a spare needle.
Next row: K1. Purl to end of row.
Next row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows once more.
Right Neck shaping
1st row: (WS). Cast off 3 sts. Purl to end of row. 8 (10-12) sts rem.
2nd row: Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
3rd row: P1. P2tog. Purl to end of row.
Rep 2nd and 3rd rows 1 (1-2) time(s) more, then 2nd row 0 (1-0) time more.
Cont even on rem 4 (5-6) sts until Front measures same length as Back before shoulder, ending with a purl row. Cast off.
With RS facing, join yarn to rem sts. Knit to end of row.
Work Left side of Front as for Right side, reversing neck shaping.
Sleeves
Cast on 17 (21-21) sts. Knit 3 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS and inc 1 st at center of last row. 18 (22-22) sts.
Proceed in stocking st, inc 1 st each end of next and every following 6th (6th-4th) row until there are 26 (30-34) sts.
Cont even for 7½ (8½-9½)" [19 (21.5-24) cm] total length, ending with a purl row. Cast off.
Hood
Cast on 49 (53-57) sts. Knit 3 rows, noting 1st row is WS and inc 1 st at center of last row. 50 (54-58) sts.
Proceed in stocking st, dec 1 st each end of next and every following alt row until there are 30 (34-38) sts. Work even for 2¼" [5.5 cm] more. Cast off 3 (4-4) sts beg next 6 rows. Cast off rem 12 (10-14) sts.
Ears (make 2)
Cast on 7 sts.
Work 6 rows in stocking st noting 1st row is RS.
Dec 1 st at each end of next and following alt row. 3 sts.
Inc 1 st each end of next and following alt row. 7 sts.
Work 6 rows in stocking st. Cast off.
Fold Ears in half with WS tog and sew side seams.
Finishing
Using smooth yarn, sew shoulder seams. Place markers 1½" [4 cm] down from top of Sleeve. Sew in Sleeves, placing sections above markers along cast off edges of armhole to form square armholes. Sew side and Sleeve seams. Fold Hood in half and sew cast off edge for back seam. Sew side edges of Hood along neck edge, having cast on edge at front. Sew Ears to Hood as shown in photo.
