- Craft Smart® Acrylic Paints – White, Grey, Dark Grey and Black
- Craft Smart® Acrylic Paint, Neon – Orange
- Craft Smart® Acrylic Paint, Gloss – Burnt Sienna
- DecoArt® DuraClear Varnish, Matte
- Rectangular Wood Box
- Paintbrush – ½" Stipple
- Water Container
- Palette (or Plastic Plate)
- Paper Towels
- Styrofoam®
- Rose Petals – Blac
- Napkins – White
- Ribbon, ¼" – Orange
- Glue
- Suckers
Project Instructions
Step 1 Sand and seal wood with DuraClear matte varnish; allow to dry.
Step 2 Base coat entire box Grey.
Step 3 Paint Burnt Sienna gloss over hinges (to make them look rusty).
Step 4 With large stipple brush, dry-brush Dark Grey heavily on sides and edges, working your way to center.
Step 5 Without cleaning brush, dry-brush black heavily on sides and edges. (Allow Grey and Dark Grey to show through.)
Step 6 With clean stipple brush, dry-brush white in centers of each side, front, back, and top.
Step 7 With clean stipple brush, dry-brush Neon Orange highlights here and there.
Step 8 Glue Styrofoam® on bottom of box.
Step 9 Cover suckers with white napkins; tie orange bows to secure napkins.
Step 10 Dot black eyes on sucker ghosts. Let dry and poke sucker ends into Styrofoam® base.
Step 11 Cover Styrofoam® with black rose petals
