- DecoArt® Americana® Acrylic Paints – Pineapple and Lamp (Ebony) Black
- DecoArt® MagiKote™
- DecoArt® Specialty Paint – Glow-in-the-Dark
- Foam Pumpkin, 10"
- Styrofoam® Ball, 5"
- Paintbrushe
- Paper Towels
- Water Container
- Palette (or Plastic Plate)
- Creatology™ Craft Foam – Black and Purple
- Pencil
- Tracing and Transfer Paper
- Low Heat Glue Gun
- Sandpaper
- Scissors
- Stick-on Rhinestones
Project Instructions
Step 1 Use fan brush to apply small amount of MagiKote™ to the Styrofoam® ball. Cover completely.
Step 2 Let dry. Use sandpaper to smooth entire ball.
Step 3 Apply another coat of MagiKote™. Let dry and re-sand. Repeat for total of three coats.
Step 4 Use pencil and tracing and transfer paper to trace ears and tail on black fun foam. Also trace eyes on Styrofoam® ball.
Step 5 Use scissors to cut out foam shapes.
Step 6 Use ¾" flat brush to paint Styrofoam® ball and pumpkin Lamp Black. Leave eyes unpainted.
Step 7 Use #6 flat brush to fill eyes in with Pineapple.
Step 8 Use same brush to paint Glow-in-the-Dark paint on eyes, using two or three coats.
Step 9 Use hot glue to attach Styrofoam® ball to top of pumpkin. Fold ears and glue on top of Styrofoam® ball and tail under pumpkin facing to side.
Step 10 Use scissors to cut collar out of purple craft foam.
Step 11 Put stick-on rhinestones all around collar. Let dry and attach collar to cat with hot glue.
