  • Mod Podge®
  • Hole Punch, Standard
  • Recollections® Cardstock Scrap Packs – Black
  • Paintbrush
  • Acrylic Paint – Orange, Pink and Brown
  • Low Heat Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Project Instructions


Step 1 Tear pages from an old book and tear those into small pieces. Tear enough to cover the round paper mache’ ornament.

Step 2 Coat an area of the ornament and apply the torn pieces of book pages. Repeat until the whole ornament is covered. Let dry.

Step 3 Form a 2" to 2½" piece of book page into a cone shape. With a glue gun, glue to hold cone shape. This will form the snowman’s nose.

Step 4 With the glue gun, glue the nose centering between top and bottom of ornament.

Step 5 Paint the cone orange. Let dry.

Step 6 With diluted pink acrylic paint, lightly paint on cheeks. Let dry.

Step 7 Create eight black dots by punching eight holes in the black cardstock.

Step 8 Use two dots for the eyes, and Mod Podge® them into place. Mod Podge® the remaining six dots under the nose (cone). This will form the mouth.

Step 9 Finish by lightly brushing diluted brown acrylic paint over entire ornament.
