Step 1 Use a paper trimmer to cut Butterfly paper into smaller pieces showing butterflies. Be careful if you want to keep the scientific name under the butterfly.
Step 2 Lightly sand Wood Panel to prepare it for wood burning. After reading all manufacturer's instructions found inside the Creative Versa-Tool™, attach shading point on Versa-Tool. Secure tool stand to work surface with tape. Place tool on stand. Plug into electric outlet, turn Versa-Temp control dial to the yellow-orange zone, and heat for four or five minutes. Paper burn edges of each piece of butterfly paper as shown. Use pliers to remove shading point and drop into ceramic dish.
Step 3 Use pliers to attach universal point and turn Versa-Temp control dial to the red zone. Using metal ruler, section off areas on wood panel by wood burning lines with universal point as shown in photo. Use pliers to remove universal point and drop into ceramic dish.
Step 4 Use pliers to attach circle stamp point. Holding tool perpendicular to the wood panel, hot stamp the circle where you have burned double lines. Use pliers to remove circle stamp point and drop into ceramic dish.
Step 5 Use pliers to attach flow point and turn Versa-Temp control dial to the yellow-orange zone. Place tool on stand.
Step 6 Use sponge to add Distress Inks to wood panel. Use paper glue to attach butterfly papers to wood panel. Add more Distress Inks where needed.
Step 7 To add iron-on crystals to wood burned circles, place crystals in center of circle, touch flow point to tops of crystals and let the heat of the point go through the crystal to activate the adhesive on the back of the crystal. You will feel the crystal begin to move. At that time, remove the point and let the adhesive cool. Once all crystals are adhered, turn Versa-Temp control dial to “O” (off).
