Project Instructions

Step 1
Measure approximately 1 yard of ribbon yarn.

Step 2
Depending on what you are comfortable working with, dab a small amount of glue or strip of double-sided tape to the inside of bangle. Place one end of your ribbon on top of the glue or tape and secure with your finger while you are wrapping. Begin wrapping ribbon. Remember to overlap so surface (wood) of bangle does not show.

Step 3
Once you’ve come to the end of the ribbon, make sure you add glue to secure. Cut excess.

Step 4
The amount of “fuzzy” yarn you want to use will be your choice. Be daring, use several textures of fiber.

Step 5
Again follow Steps 1-4 above. Adding glue (or tape) to secure as you go along.

Step 6
Measure and cut approximately three 12" strips of colored wire (set two aside).

Step 7
To secure your buttons to the bangle, form a “U” and give two good twists (at the neck of the wire). Weave wire through the button hole, add beads and begin wrapping wire around adding seed beads as you work.

Step 8
Once you have completed your first button, move onto the next and so on, following the same steps as above.

Tips

Add glue to the inside of bracelet as you work so ribbon does not shift. There is no right or wrong to how you wrap your wire; go in and out, wrap around beads, give some crease (or bend) to add artistic flair to your bracelet.
