Recollections™ Color Photo Corners 4 5 2 2
Amazing Product Led to Great Memorial Display I bought the Decorative Photo Corners in silver from my neighborhood Michaels. They are absolutely amazing. I wanted to make a "Remembrance Display" for my mother's funeral, and didn't have a long time to make it. I bought white foam core and sorted through a box of photos for this display. I then postioned 25 photos on the foam board along with printed words of her name, dates, phrase etc. These decorative corners were incredible. By holding the photo down with my palm, then carefully curling up the picture corner, sliding this corner piece over the corner, and slowly lowering the picture corner down to the board. Each corner placed very nicely. Then do that with the next corner, until all 4 corners are in place. The way the decorative corners are made, the adhesive tab places very nicely on the foam board surface. If you use your palm to hold the center of the photo in place. Every once in a while, I had misplaced a corner. I was able to carefully peel the decorative corner off of the surface without ruining the surface. I threw out the "mistake" corner, and re-positioned a fresh one. Like any time working with adhesive, use the old sticky corner to stick to any glue residue and lift the sticky residue off. My display worked very well. The next morning I realized that I had left out a picture of my mother's brother. I then found another bag of old photos, and found 4 different pictures I wanted to use. I worried that I wouldn't be able to remove the adhesive corners without ruining the display. They had been in place for half a day. I figured out where I could replace 4 prior pictures with the 4 different pictures. They were a slightly different size So I took my blow dryer and using the warm setting, corner by corner, re-heated each corner I wanted to remove. Warm worked fine. Then, feeling confident, I turned my blow dryer to the hot setting. Hot was a mistake as it caused the front and backing of the decorative corner to come apart. So keep the dryer to warm and slowly remove, and then use fresh corners to reposition the updates. I got compliments for the neat and "professional" quality of the display. And as other crafters know, it was cathartic to work on a craft which felt like a tribute to my mother. My work was enhanced by the ease of this product. December 2, 2014
These used to be great... I have used this product for several years in the albums I sell. However, now the photo corners that are labeled as white are actually cream/ivory. So if you are in need of a true white, like I am, you're out of luck. I used to LOVE this product. It's too bad. July 12, 2014
