Project Instructions
Step 1 Machine wash T-shirt in cool water and soap. Rinse but do not dry.
Step 2 Cover worktable with plastic tablecloth.
Step 3 Lay damp shirt flat on protected worktable.
Step 4 Mix dye according to directions and squeeze out evenly over entire T-shirt. Wrap in plastic tablecloth and let set six to eight hours.
Step 5 Machine wash with soap and cool water. Dry and press.
Step 6 Trace “COOL DAD” on freezer paper. Lay pattern on craft mat and cut out stencil using craft knife.
Step 7 Position stencil across front of T-shirt, shiny side down, and press with iron.
Step 8 Insert cardboard between layers of the shirt to prevent paint from seeping through to back side.
Step 9 Sponge Crimson Red on “COOL DAD” and Ebony on the sunglasses. Let dry.
Step 10 Lay three strips of tape across lower part of sleeves, leaving approximately ½" or so space in between. Refer to photo. Sponge in stripes with the Crimson Red and Ebony or as desired. Let dry.
Step 11 Remove stencil, tape and cardboard insert.
