Instructions Print

Step 1
Paint an entire canvas with white acrylic paint. Take a dry brush and paint blue over the canvas, leaving a streaked look. Let dry. 
Step 2
Make a toner based copy of your favorite photo. Enlarge to the size of the canvas you choose.

NOTE: You may need to flip the photo prior to printing. 
Step 3
Apply gel medium to the front side of the toner based copy. 
Step 4
Lay toner copy top side down (gel side down) onto the canvas. 
Step 5
Rub out any air bubbles until smooth. Make sure to wipe up any excess gel medium that comes out of the sides. Make sure not to get any on the top of the copy. Let dry overnight. 
Step 6
Use a damp cloth to slowly and carefully peel off the paper on the canvas. Continue rubbing gently until all paper residue is gone. The photo image will remain on the canvas. 
Step 7
Paint the sides of the canvas an accent color. Let dry. 
Step 8
For a finished look, apply a thin coat of gel medium or varnish.
