father's day: hipster glasses and mustache clay paper weight

You're somewhat experienced with the skills necessary to complete this project, but you haven't mastered all the elements, yet.

Instructions Print

Step 1
Print out a picture of glasses and mustache of your choice.
Step 2
Condition clay per directions on clay package and roll out to ¼" to ½" thick.
Step 3
Using scissors, cut out the glasses and mustache from paper.
Step 4
Lay the glasses and mustache cutouts on top of the clay and cut out the design with the craft knife.
Step 5
Bake the clay per instructions on clay packaging.
Step 6
Taking the foam brush and lightly stain the wood plaque.
Step 7
Add a few drops of water to the brown paint and mix.
Step 8
Taking the foam brush; paint the one of the two different rings of the outer edge of the wood plaque with the Surf paint. Then the other ring with the Aqua paint.
Step 9
Once the clay pieces are cooled; hot glue them to the top of the wood plaque.
