Project Instructions

Step 1 Iron freezer paper to inside front of T-shirt to create stable crafting surface.

Step 2 Use chalk pencil to trace wave pattern down the front of T-shirt.

Step 3 Roll out a length of Peel & Stick Tape to fit across first line of your wave. Remove one side of tape backing and stick to a large piece of wax paper.

Step 4 Place wax paper in position over wave design where you want your first horizontal line to be and use pencil to mark the length and curve of your piece of tape on the tape backing.

Step 5 Cut your piece of tape through wax paper according to the length and curve you marked.

Step 6 Remove tape from wax paper and place in its horizontal position on your wave design. Leave top tape backing in place.

Step 7 Continue the above steps, placing tape strips approximately 1" apart and matching tape edges to the curve of your wave, until you reach the bottom edge of your T-shirt.

Step 8 Cut a large piece of wax paper to fit horizontally across your design with plenty of overlap on both sides.

Step 9 Remove backing from first tape line at the top of your shirt. Place edge of wax paper over exposed tape, leaving ¼" of tape exposed at the top.

Step 10 Apply your purple glitter to this exposed line of tape until covered. Shake off excess glitter. Remove wax paper.

Step 11 Apply turquoise glitter to remaining exposed tape. Shake off excess.

Step 12 Continue these steps until all your horizontal lines are covered.

Step 13 Cut another large piece of wax paper to overlap your wave design vertically.

Step 14 Lay wax paper over T-shirt starting at top. Measure, cut and apply tape strips as you did in Steps 3-5, this time following the vertical edges of your wave design.

Step 15 Remove top tape backing from first vertical line at top of shirt. Cover exposed tape with wax paper as before, and apply black and silver glitter as described in Steps 9-11. Repeat until you reach the end of your design.

Step 16 Remove freezer paper from inside shirt.

Tips

Using wax paper under the peel and stick tape makes the tape easier to cut to shape. Varying the spaces between your tape lines adds interest to your design.
