Project Instructions

Step 1 Begin with the Beadalon® flexible beading thread, the Bead Gallery® gold iris glass faceted 6mm beads, the Bead Gallery® black 6mm beads, and the Bead Landing™ gold rhinestone elephant pendant. Measure 12" of beading thread and trim. Measure another strand and trim.

Step 2 Thread one end of the thread through the loop of the pendant so that there is equal thread on each side. Repeat with the other strand of thread. Thread both ends of one strand through one Bead Gallery® gold iris glass faceted 6mm bead. Repeat with the other thread strand.

Step 3 Then thread one Bead Gallery® black 6mm bead onto both strands of the first thread strand. Now add one Bead Gallery® black 6mm bead to the outside strand of the second thread strand. The second strand of the second thread strand will thread into the second bead of the first strand.

Step 4 Now add one Bead Gallery® gold iris glass faceted 6mm bead by threading one end of the first strand through the bead, pulling to the right, and threading the other end of the first strand through the bead, pulling to the left. Repeat this step with the second set of strands. Reference picture.

Step 5 Repeat Steps 3 and 4 so that you have 16 sets of gold center beads.

Step 6 Gather the Bead Landing™ crimp tubes with loop and the end strand from Step 5. Insert the ends of the beading thread into the crimp tube until it meets the hole of the loop. Using your chain nose pliers, fold over both open edges of the crimp tube and press firmly. Make sure that all threads are held tightly with the crimp tube.

Step 7 Repeat Steps 1-6 so that you have another braided thread strand for the second side of the necklace.

Step 8 Gather the two braided strands from above and add a jump ring to the loop in both crimp tubes.

Step 9 Next gather the Bead Landing™ gold chain and measure to make the necklace your desired length. Remove excess chain. Repeat, so that you have two strands of chain that are the same length. Helpful tip: leave additional chain link on one strand of chain to make the necklace adjustable.

Step 10 Attach the jump rings from Step 8 to the chain link on both sides.

Step 11 Add a Bead Landing™ gold lobster claw clasp to one end of the chain.
