Krylon® Chalkboard Paint is rated 3.375 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent for touch ups I bought this because I needed to touch up a chalkboard that wasn't erasing. I followed the directions completely, and while it fixed the issue of the chalkboard not erasing, it did leave scratches on the board when I seasoned it. Overall, I'd recommend it for fixing an old chalkboard, but wouldn't use it on a DIY project or something you want to be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect For Chalkboard Signs I used this to make back to school signs for pictures of my kids' first days at school. I applied on glass in a frame (no primer, just made sure glass was clean). I followed the instructions and applied several (5-6) thin coats waiting until dry between coats. It goes against my normal spray paint MO which is to cover in a thick coat then not wait and cover with another drippy thick coat and ruin everything. This time I wanted to get it right since I plan to write on a reuse the surface so I followed directions to the T. Turned out lovely! The signs are perfect!! I plan to apply additional costs as the years go by, as needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wipes off I did about 4-5 coats on a wood dresser and the blue is rubbing off. It's been over week since I did it so it's clearly dry. Don't waste your time energy or money on this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this product was perfect for my project I made flower pots painted with the chalkboard paint for my four yr old niece to decorate for her teachers. It went on smooth with great coverage. It dried super fast and was perfect letting her decorate with chalk and not having to worry about her getting paint anywhere.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wanted to Love it! Purchased due to the ease of application. Sprayed a thin cost, then another after the 1st was dry. Sprayed 3 coats on another board just to see the difference and neither piece worked. Paint removed too easily when first "seasoned" with chalk. Scratches were visible and chalk did not easily remove from surface with soft cloth. Very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't work I bought this paint from our local hardware store. It was extremely easy to use and looked great! ....until I went to write on it. I followed all of the instructing on the can, did 5 coats, waited 24 hrs to write, "seasoned" it with chalk, but nothing would write on this paint! I tried standard chalk and I tried the new chalk pencils. I went over and over the same letters TRYING to make it legible, and after an hour and a cramped wrist, you still can barely read it! Waste of time and money. I'm going to try some of the online recipes to make my own from people who have had GOOD results.
