Project Instructions

Step 1 Cut glitter paper into 4¼" squares. You will need six squares per snowflake.

Step 2 Fold paper in half on the diagonal (you should have a triangle after you do this).

Step 3 Starting in one corner along the fold line and ending in the other corner, measure and lightly mark ¾" increments.

Step 4 Also, measure ¾" increments from the center of the fold line to the top of the triangle.

Step 5 Cut a line that runs from the first mark on the fold line to ¼" shy of the top mark on the center line. Then, cut a line that runs from the second mark on the fold line to ¼" shy of the second mark down on the center line. Next, cut from the third mark on the fold line to ¼" shy of the third mark down on the center line. Starting from the opposite end along the fold line, repeat all three cut lines to ¼" shy of the center line.

Step 6 Repeat with the remaining 5 squares.

Step 7 Once all of the squares have been cut, unfold them. Since the paper is thick some creasing may occur, but this can be covered easily with spray paint.

Step 8 Spray paint the backs of the paper with a coordinating color, let dry.

Step 9 Starting in the center of one square, pull up the two inside corners. Roll the corners together to form a cylinder and glue.

Step 10 Hold until dry. This should only take a few seconds if using extra strength glue.

Step 11 Flip the paper over. Roll the next two corners onto each other. Glue and hold.

Step 12 Flip the paper over again. Roll in the next two corners, glue, and hold. Repeat with the last two corners. The overall shape should now be a diamond.

Step 13 Repeat the rolling and gluing process with the five remaining squares of paper.

Step 14 Take two of the diamonds and glue them together at the bottom. Be sure not to glue the glitter side of the paper to the glitter side of the other paper. The glue will not stick. Mini clothespins can act as clamps until the glue dries.

Step 15 Repeat until all diamonds are glued into pairs. Let the pairs sit for 15-30 minutes, so the glue has time to set. The glue needs to be fully dried before gluing them all together.

Step 16 Glue the three sets of diamonds together to complete the structure of the snowflake and clamp for 15-30 minutes.

Step 17 Use an assortment of Recollections™ glitter adhesive shapes as centerpieces to add dimension. Use the hot glue gun for extra support. Use an assortment of Recollections™ rhinestone stickers to embellish the snowflake. Make sure to decorate both sides.

Step 18 Punch the top of the snowflake with a small hole punch. Run fishing line through the hole to hang from the ceiling. Make just one or a full collection.
