Project Instructions»

Alligator

Position and glue pots top to top.
Position and glue Styrofoam cone top to one end of pots for tail.
Paint body Citron Green.
Paint over Citron Green with Thermal Green.
Use brush handle end and Festive Green to dot over body.
Rub Styrofoam balls on craft surface to flatten one side. Rotate 90 degrees and flatten adjoining side.
Position and glue wiggle eye to one flat side of ball. Position other flat side onto body and adhere. Repeat for second eye. Paint eyelids Citron Green.
Cut feet from green foam and teeth from white foam. Position and adhere to body.
Optional: Glue wood disk, button, or other flat object on bottom to prevent rolling.

Giraffe

Paint egg halves, pots for neck and body and dowel pieces Tiger Lily Orange; beads for feet and horns Wrought Iron Black.
Paint random Hydrangea Blue spots on pots.
Position and adhere one half Styrofoam ball inside pot/body. Stack neck pots on body and secure with glue.
Cut a 2” piece of chenille stem. Sandwich one end of stem between egg halves and secure with glue. Fill other end with glue and push down hole in neck pot.
Cut two 1” pieces of white chenille stem. Push into blue beads and secure with glue. Position and glue to back of head.
Add ears and wiggle eyes.
Position and glue black beads to one end of each dowel piece for feet. Position and push other end of each dowel into Styrofoam of body for legs.
Cut a 2” piece of orange chenille for tail. Use liner and black to paint mouth.

Elephant

Paint pots and wood bead Hydrangea Blue.
Paint three toes on each small pot with Cloud White.
Position and adhere head and feet to body.
Coil blue chenille stems to form trunk and adhere.
Position and adhere ears and wiggle eyes.

Zebra

Paint pots and Styrofoam egg Cloud White.
Use #4 round brush and Wrought Iron Black to paint striping around body and hooves on small pots.
Position and adhere remaining half of Styrofoam ball into pot/body.
Cut small piece of Styrofoam for neck. Adhere to body.
Cut several 1” pieces of black and white chenille stems. Position and adhere between egg halves for mane.
Adhere head on neck. Wrap black chenille around neck to resemble striping.
Position and adhere ears, eyes and chenille tail.
Position and adhere feet.
Use liner and black to paint swirl nostrils.
