Gingerbread cookies evoke the unique smells and tastes of the season. Here’s a great opportunity to create magic with your family. Make these fun little gingerbread boys and decorate them as you please.
Roll orange mini sugared gumdrops flat on surface sprinkled with granulated sugar. Use scissors to cut in shape of hammer. Set aside.
Use red icing to outline and fill in pants with zigzags (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).
Use white icing to outline and fill in shirts with zigzags (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch).
Use red icing to decorate red zigzags on wrist, and attach hammer with white icing.
Use white icing to decorate dot eyes, nose and outline mouth.
Use white icing to trim line on bottom of pants and attach mini multi-colored candies.
Add blue jumbo confetti for button on shirt with white icing.
Attach mini sugared gumdrops with red icing for trim at waist.
When completely dry, attach mini sugared gumdrops. Let dry.
Combine the following projects: (Getting it Together, Holiday Trendsetter, Striped for the Season, A Flair for Decorating, She's a Party Girl, Jolly Gingerbread Guy, Adding the Finishing Trims, Dashingly Dressed for the Holidays, She’s Ready To Party, Let The Festivities Begin) with the Wilton Mini Village projects (A-Frame Holiday Getaway, Festive Green-Striped House, A Serenity Scene, A Unique Slant on the Holiday) to create a vibrant holiday village. Partially build an additional gingerbread house but do not decorate. Place the gingerbread boy with the hammer next to this.
