Witch hats don’t have to be just black. Have fun painting and creating your own designs on a paper mache witch hat. This is a great craft for a centerpiece or decoration for Halloween.Kids can have fun painting and embellishing this paper mache witch hat.
Step 1 Paint the hat purple or your choice of color. Let dry completely.
Step 2 Use a sponge dabber or small round sponge dipped in a small amount of black paint to make the polka dots on the hat. Let dry.
Step 3 To make the glitter spiral, use a flat 1" brush to apply Mod Podge® or tape your design off with painter's tape.
Step 4 Hold hat over glitter tray or shallow box and then sprinkle with tinsel glitter. Hold hat at an angle and tap the bottom of the hat to shake off the excess glitter. Allow hat to dry completely.
Step 5 If desired, tie some orange tulle around the hat and glue a pom pom spider to the hat.

Glitter Tray (or Large Paper)
To make the glitter spiral, use a flat 1" brush to apply Mod Podge® or tape your design off with painter's tape. For best results when gluing and glittering, work in small sections. Have a glitter tray or shallow box handy for the glitter. Refer to photo to assist with project.
