Project Instructions»

Select your desired frame. Remove the mat from behind the glass. Cover the outside edges of the frame and mat with two coordinating prints.

Note: If your frame doesn't have a mat, you can get one in the Framing Section of your Michaels Store.

Cut a 12" strip of the white grosgrain ribbon. Take 8" of the ribbon and adhere the remaining 4" behind. Adhere the ribbon to the top left corner of the mat and trim the bottom end to give it a clean edge.

Cut a 2"x12" strip of the white grid-printed paper. Score this every ¼" along the strip and fold accordion style when finished. Adhere the two ends together with hot glue (print in the middle) to form a cylinder. Punch two 3" scalloped circles and keep these close by. Put your cylinder on a hard surface. Gently push out the sides so that the print is up until it fans out into a flower. Apply hot glue to the back of your first circle and adhere to the center of the flower. Holding onto the flower and the newly adhered piece, flip everything over and adhere the remaining circle to the back of the flower, again using hot glue.

Make another flower, this time cutting a 1½"x12" strip and repeating the process in Step 3. Instead of using a large scalloped circle to hold the flower in place, use two 2¼" circles made from the same print as the scalloped circle.

Punch two remaining circles from two different prints, one that is 2" in diameter and the other that is 1¾" in diameter. Adhere these to the centers of your flowers, popping the last one up with adhesive foam squares. Cut out an icon from the stack, add a #1 from your sticker sheet, and finish off the project with a mini banner.

Cut an 8" piece of the yellow sheer ribbon and adhere this behind your flower set.

Insert your child’s report card inside the frame and enjoy!
