Step 1 Horizontally position foam board on work surface. Starting at bottom left corner of board, use ruler and mark 4" up. Continue measuring up board to make three more marks, 4" apart. Similarly, measure and mark from center up and from bottom right corner up, to assure accuracy when drawing lines. Use yardstick and black paint marker to draw four horizontal lines.

Step 2 For vertical lines, from top left side, measure and mark 2" over, then mark 4" over. Continue by making five more marks, 4" apart. Repeat process by making 2" and six 4" marks in center and at bottom of board, for accuracy. Use yardstick and black paint marker to draw seven vertical lines.

Step 3 Using paint marker, practice writing days of week on paper, in preferred style. Then write days in top row in each box at top. Then write “Week 1, Week 2,” etc. in narrow boxes on left side. Refer to calendar to fill in each day’s number in appropriate box.

Step 4 To color code, assign colors to people or to specific activities. (Hint: A color key can be written in any open boxes at beginning or end of calendar.)

Step 5 This is intended to be used as a portable work board and then disposed of when program is complete. (Permanent Paint Markers are used.) For those wanting to be able to change the board each month, use Elmer’s® Dry Erase Board instead. Simply use paint marker to draw permanent lines and dry erase colored markers for other information.

Step 6 Optional: For those who want to hang board, hot glue paper clip for hanger, centered on back.
