Tear about half of the cover off the journal.

Using an ink pad, dab some brown ink along the torn edge of the journal to give it an old, worn look.

Using the power punch, punch six holes along the spine of the journal. Taking fiber, weave in and out of the holes, tying a knot at each end to secure.

Glue rhinestone chain alongside the ribbon near the spine of the journal.

Glue heart pendant near the top of the journal cover.

Collage and glue sheets of assorted paper with a mica sheet on top, to the inside of the brown torn cover.
