Project Instructions»

Step 1 Draw a simple birdhouse with a dry Brown Kimberly® Watercolor Pencil. Layer more color under eaves and on bottom of birdhouse.

Step 2 Activate color with wet brush.

Step 3 While paper is still wet, add wood grain and bird hole with dry brown pencil using the Wet Paper Technique.

Step 4 Color the left side of the pole Brown on dry paper then stroke water over entire pole.

Step 5 After pole is dry, add the greenery by wetting the paper with clear water. Then, create a swatch of green Kimberly® Watercolor Pencil on a separate sheet of paper. Activate the pallet swatch of Green Kimberly® Watercolor Pencil to create the greenery.

Step 6 Add Green foreground reeds by drawing lines on damp paper with the Green Kimberly® Watercolor Pencil and let paper dry. Dip red pencil in water then touch pencil tip to paper to make red flower shapes using the Bold Details Technique.
