Create your own red and white lampshades just in time for the holidays! Designed by Tamara Comer

Project Instructions»

Step 1 Paint the whole lampshade red except the top and bottom trim. Let dry.
Step 2 Paint the top and bottom trim brown.
Step 3 Punch 1" holes from old book pages.
Step 4 Cut 1/8" wide strips from old book pages, enough to go around the top and bottom trim of the lampshade.
Step 5 Coat the lampshade with Mod Podge®.
Step 6 Apply the circles around the shade. Space them evenly around the shade, avoiding the trim. You may have to cut the circles to avoid overlapping the trim. Let dry.
Step 7 Coat the trim both top and bottom with Mod Podge®.
Step 8 Apply the 1/8" wide strips around the trim, both top and bottom. Let dry.
Step 9 Brush and wipe off diluted brown acrylic paint to create an aged effect.
Step 10 Finish with a light coat of Mod Podge®.
