Create a wire wrapped ring with artistic wire.
Project Instructions»

Wrap the wire around the Ring Mandrel at one size SMALLER than the desired ring size. (in our sample we want a size 6 ring so we will wrap around size 5 on the Ring Mandrel). Make two revolutions with the wire keeping each revolution tightly against the other. Make sure you have equal distance on each end. Let the wire recoil from the ring mandrel. Your ring should now be the proper size (ours is size 6).
Use the two loose ends and cross them at approximately 1/4” above the ring. Twist these wires together one revolution. Begin wrapping one wire around the other 1/2 revolution at a time with one wire, then 1/2 revolution with the other wire. These revolutions should all be going in the same direction.

Continue to wrap one wire then the other until you have a nice ball of wire, this holds the ring together. Make certain that each of the loose wires is approximately the same length.

Curve the wires out and away from the ball in even curves.

String on 4 or 5 of the Chip Beads onto each of the ends of the wire. Make sure to alternate large and small chips so that they can be tightened easily.

Once the beads are tightened on the wire toward
the center of the wire ball, cut the wire at 3/8” (9.5mm) from where the beads end.

Grasp the end of the wire with the Bent Chain Nose Pliers with the tips pointing up (so you can see what you are doing). Make a tiny bend in the end. Grasp this end in the bent portion of the pliers, squeeze and bend. Continue to grasp and turn the wire until a flat coil begins to form. Note: We are twisting the coil to the outside, you can also twist to the inside if you prefer.

Continue grasping and turning the coil until it nests nicely against the beads (holding them tight). Repeat these steps on the other side.

Carefully bend the wires containing the Chip Beads until the design suits your taste. Note: as an option you can hide the coil under the beads or show the coil as you prefer.
