Create a gingerbread boy masterpiece with this little pastry chef. Made using the Wilton® Pre-Baked Gingerbread Cookie Kit, he’s ready to help with all your holiday baking. Brightly decorated gingerbread tree would look so festive on your holiday table, and it’s great fun for the whole family to build and decorate.

Chef Gingerbread Cookies

Create a gingerbread boy masterpiece with this little pastry chef. Made using the Wilton Pre-Baked Gingerbread Cookie Kit, he’s ready to help with all your holiday baking.

In advance, make chef hat. For base, roll out ½ oz. fondant into log, 1¼"Wx¾"Dx1"H. For top, mold 1 oz. fondant into lumpy ball. Flatten and attach with damp brush.

Roll out 1 oz. fondant 1/16" thick for each apron. Cut apron 2¾"x2¼" and make each shoulder strap 3/8". Attach apron to gingerbread boy using small dots of icing from kit.

For bow tie, on granulated sugar-covered surface, roll out spearmint leaf candy. Cut two triangles, ½"x5/8", and a circle using narrow end of tip 10. Attach to boy using icing.

Outline mouth and pipe dot eyes and nose using white icing and round tip from kit.

For decorating bag, using 5/8 oz. of fondant, roll into a cone then thin area 1¼"x1½" from narrow end of cone. Flare out remaining area for top of decorating bag.

Add a few drops of lemon extract to ¼ teaspoon of silver Pearl Dust. Paint tip of piping bag to look like tip.

Melt Candy Melts® candy according to package directions. Attach hat and decorating bag to gingerbread boys with melted candy.

Prepare icings from the kit.

Stack cookies from kit, beginning with the largest on bottom to smallest on top, and attach with dots of green icing.

Pipe zigzags on branches using green icing and round tip.

Pipe pull-out stars on branches using white icing and star tip.

Attach mini multi-color candy to tree points using white icing and round tip.

Attach candy star to top of tree using green icing and round tip.
