Project Instructions»

Adhere vinyl to your mat the same way you put paper on the mat. It’s ok to attach the full vinyl roll and leave the remaining length hanging off the mat; or you can cut pieces off as needed.

Load the mat in your machine. Select an image from the French Manor cartridge and size it to your liking.

Select the cut setting button (knife with gears).

From the drop down menu at the top, select “Vinyl (Kiss Cut)” and adjust your blade depth to 4. If you find the vinyl is not cutting, adjust the blade depth to 5.

Cut the image with the Cricut® machine. Unload the mat and use scissors to trim closely around your design.

Strip the image of its negative pieces (the vinyl that remains after cutting the design) so you are left with just the image on the backer paper.

Mark the middle of the image on the backer paper with a light pencil mark (not on the vinyl) to help you center it, using the grid lines on the transfer paper.

Cut a piece of transfer tape that is approximately the same size as your vinyl image. Peel the backing off the transfer paper at a 45° angle.

Adhere transfer tape to the vinyl image. Use the grid to align your images or center them. Line up the center point with an intersection on the grid to perfectly center the design on your case.

Rub the image with a bone folder or spatula handle, starting at the center. This process removes air bubbles and ensures the vinyl sticks to the transfer tape.

Remove the backer paper from the vinyl. The image is now on the transfer tape and ready for your surface.

Bend the transfer tape slightly so the middle hits the surface first. Place the rest of the image down and smooth from the middle.

Rub the image again with a bone folder or the handle of your Cricut® spatula to remove air bubbles.

Slowly peel off the transfer tape at a 45° angle.
