Step: 1

Basecoat the box and spools with 2 coats of White. Let dry.

Step: 2

Sand the box and spools. Brush away crumbs.

Step: 3

To antique the box and spools, squeeze a small amount of Pure Bronze onto a foam plate. Dip a clean, damp rag into the paint and wipe gently across the box and spools. Let dry.

Step: 4

Trace the box top onto floral paper. Cut out a square ½-inch to 1-inch smaller than the box.

Step: 5

Mod Podge the floral paper to the center of the box. Let dry.

Step: 6

Use the decorative-edged scissors to cut ½-inch wide strips of red paper. Mod Podge strips to the top and sides of the box as shown. Let dry.

Step: 7

Cut green flowers or other motifs from the floral paper and Mod Podge to the box top.

Step: 8

Glue game or alphabet tiles spelling “BE MINE” to the box.

Step: 9

Tie a ribbon bow around the key. Glue the key to the box.

Step: 10

Glue the spools to the bottom of the box in each corner as shown.
