Step: 1

Remove any labels or tags from surface.

Step: 2

Refer to photo for placement and use pencil and ruler to mark off a 3½-inch x 5½-inch area that is 1¾-inch from corner of canvas. With canvas placed face down on cutting surface, use craft knife to cut out rectangle area from canvas.

Step: 3

Use flat brush and Dark Chocolate to paint top and sides of canvas; let dry after each coat.

Step: 4

Use flat brush to apply Multi-Purpose Sealer over paint. Let dry.

Step: 5

Use fan brush to apply Sage Green Texture Crackle over Multi-Purpose Sealer; let dry.

Step: 6

Transfer pattern onto cardstock. (We scanned/copied on computer printer.) Use craft knife to cut out stencil.

Step: 7

Refer to photo for placement and place stencil as desired. Using fingers of one hand to hold stencil flat and in place, use pouncer brush dipped in Dark Chocolate to paint over stencil opening. Let dry.

Step: 8

Repeat process to cover top of canvas with pattern. (Stencil can be flipped over and used, if dry.)

Step: 9

Apply coat of Multi-Purpose Sealer over canvas frame; let dry.

Step: 10

Cut styrene sheet in half lengthwise for 5-inch x 8-inch piece. Use one piece to cover back of photo opening, pushing styrene into corner between canvas and wood frame on back. Glue between styrene and back near edges of opening to hold in place.

Step: 11

Center photo on back side of styrene and tape along edges.
